When I first met Juan, some years ago, I was afraid he was one of the intelletual-and-snob friends of my friend Pili. I’ve been glad to discover that he is… ok, intellectual, but also funny, open minded and open hearted, and he is not snob at all!
I like his black sense of humor… now I remember when he made us watch a hiper-violent japanese film… all of us were like “yuk” and he was enjoying and even laughing… as it comes to my personal case, it helped me to watch a little bit more of the film. Ja ja
But the story about Juan that touched my heart is: last month we were drinking wine in his place, and when we were leaving, he gave one of his books to each friend. He said he uses to do that when he’s drunk (good for your friends, Juan!). Well I got “Mujeres de Ojos Grandes” by Angeles Mastretta and it’s one of the best books I’ve read lately. It has inspired me… I think Juan is generous making those kind of gifts, and I hope I can find a good book to pay him back (now I have a problem, if he’s an intellectual, what book should I choose…???)
